Sweltering temperatures are expected to hit parts of the United Arab Emirates this weekend, with forecasts indicating highs of up to 46°C on Saturday. The rising temperatures come alongside high humidity levels, which are likely to cause fog or mist overnight and during early morning hours, particularly affecting coastal and inland regions.
Weather conditions across the UAE are predicted to be generally fair to partly cloudy, with light to moderate winds. In the inland areas, temperatures are projected to range between 41°C and 46°C, while coastal regions and islands may experience slightly cooler conditions, with temperatures between 36°C and 41°C. Meanwhile, in the mountainous areas, temperatures are expected to vary from 29°C to 35°C.
The humidity could soar to as high as 95% in certain areas, exacerbating the potential for fog or mist that may reduce visibility from late Saturday through Sunday morning. This pattern of weather is anticipated to persist throughout the upcoming week, with an increased likelihood of cloud development in the eastern parts of the country starting Monday afternoon, which could lead to convective cloud formation.
Foggy conditions are expected to reappear during the overnight and early morning hours through Wednesday and Thursday. Winds might strengthen occasionally, reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h. Sea conditions are forecasted to remain generally slight, though periods of moderate to rough conditions may occur in the Sea of Oman.
