The United Arab Emirates has announced the removal of its travel ban on Lebanon, allowing Emirati citizens to visit the Middle Eastern nation once again. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stipulated that Emiratis wishing to travel to Lebanon must register with the Twajudi emergency assistance service before departure. This registration process is mandatory, and citizens will not be permitted to exit through UAE border checkpoints until it is completed. The travel ban, which was imposed amid heightened regional tensions, had also impacted travel to other nearby countries. During the ban, Emiratis in Lebanon were advised to return home and seek guidance from authorities.
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam praised the UAE’s decision, noting that it underscores the robust relationship shared by the two nations. He expressed optimism that this move would enhance cooperation and foster closer ties between their peoples.
