The United Arab Emirates is set to face rising temperatures and increased humidity during the Eid Al Adha holiday week, as reported by the National Center of Meteorology. The weather throughout the country is anticipated to stay mostly fair to partly cloudy, with a general warming trend as the summer season approaches.
On Sunday, a brief dip in temperatures is expected, along with the possibility of fog or mist developing in some western and coastal areas during the night and early morning hours. However, hotter weather is predicted to return starting Monday, aligning with the commencement of the Eid break for government workers.
Throughout the holiday period, temperatures could soar to approximately 43°C in Al Ain and reach around 41°C in Fujairah. Light to moderate winds might occasionally gust up to 35 km/h, adding to the heat. During nights and early mornings, humidity levels are forecasted to rise, particularly in coastal regions, contributing to the sultry conditions.
Meanwhile, sea conditions are expected to remain calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, providing some respite from the heat. The increase in temperatures underscores the UAE’s gradual transition into its summer season following a relatively mild spring. Recent weeks have already seen temperatures surpass 40°C in several areas.
Astronomically, summer officially begins in the northern hemisphere on June 21. As the UAE moves into this period, the weather patterns highlight the shift towards the hotter months, marking a significant change from the earlier part of the year.
