Amid growing uncertainty in global energy markets, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed has underscored the escalating significance of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). During a recent session at ADNOC’s headquarters, Sheikh Khaled chaired the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors to assess the company’s operational and financial standing. The meeting also addressed strategies to ensure consistent energy supplies against the backdrop of recent challenges in maritime navigation within the region.
Sheikh Khaled emphasized the need for ADNOC to bolster its status as a comprehensive energy company by enhancing the integration of its production, trading, and logistics operations. Highlighting the company’s need for operational adaptability, he stressed the importance of its integrated capabilities in fulfilling customer demands effectively.
Additionally, the Crown Prince received an update on ADNOC’s global marketing and trading platform for liquefied natural gas (LNG), which was inaugurated in July. This platform is set to achieve a marketable LNG volume of 47 million tonnes annually beyond 2030, thereby broadening supply choices for customers and amplifying access to ADNOC’s expanding gas resources.
Prior to the meeting, Sheikh Khaled took the opportunity to visit ADNOC’s emergency control center, engaging with employees and business continuity teams who play a crucial role in sustaining secure and efficient operations during disruptions. The discussions primarily concentrated on enhancing ADNOC’s capacity to adapt to the evolving global energy landscape while ensuring steady and reliable energy supplies to its clientele.
