The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has prepared 1,971 food parcels to be delivered to Gaza as part of its humanitarian efforts leading up to UAE National Day. The initiative reflects the UAE’s commitment to placing human dignity at the center of its policies and highlights the nation’s long-standing humanitarian values.
ERC officials said the food parcel project symbolizes the connection between national celebrations and charitable work, aligning with the principles on which the UAE was founded in 1971. The organization emphasized that the UAE continues to be recognized as a “homeland of humanity,” with the ERC reinforcing this role through ongoing relief programs.
The food parcel delivery is part of a broader winter aid campaign launched by the ERC to support more than 1.8 million people across 24 countries. A significant portion of this assistance—over Dh27 million—has been allocated to support 1.35 million people in Gaza, including the distribution of winter clothing, blankets, heaters, shelter materials, and hygiene supplies.
The ERC stated that all aid will be delivered through UAE embassies and its own field offices to ensure it reaches those most in need.
